Understanding Rotational Moulding

Rotational moulding, commonly known as roto moulding Machine, is one of the fastest-growing plastic manufacturing processes worldwide. It is an innovative and cost-effective technique used to create seamless, hollow plastic products with uniform wall thickness. The process involves four key stages:

Loading the Mould: Roto moulding-grade polymer powder (LLDPE) is manually filled into the mould.
Heating & Rotation: The mould is then placed in a high-temperature oven, where it is heated while simultaneously rotating around two perpendicular axes. The polymer melts and evenly coats the inner surface of the mould.
Cooling: The mould is moved to a cooling station, where it solidifies and takes the shape of the mould cavity.
Demoulding: The mould is opened, and the final product is removed, ready for finishing and quality inspection.
